As a South African living in England for more than 10 years now, the British culture and people have always fascinated me.  Their very posh accents, peculiar phrases and the love for queuing is what make the Brits so unique.

We have made many British friends over the years and have always found them to be very polite and would never knowingly offend. They will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and include you in their conversation even though it soon became apparent that you clearly did not understand all they were saying or some of their jokes.

I soon realized that the English being spoken in Britain included many unfamiliar words and phrases. From spend a penny to curtain twitcher and geezer, Bob’s your uncle and many more are what makes Brits and the way they speak so unique and entertaining.

Wanting to learn more about these unfamiliar words, and the research that followed, finally led to the idea to create a range of everyday use products that depicts these words, so that they can bring a smile to the face of those who use them and make those giggle who relive the long forgotten British phrases.
