Established in 2010, Grace & Favour Home is a textile and homewares company based close to Dartmoor in beautiful Devon.
Focusing on the often forgotten and overlooked, inspiration is taken from the collections of found objects and travel ephemera of husband and wife team Rachael Rowe & Steve Jones, to create handmade, quality products to enhance your life and your home.
Each of our fabric designs evoke a feeling of quirky nostalgia, from old bus tickets and faded postcards, to intricate patterns inspired by vintage playing cards. As our initial design sketches get transformed into finished printed fabrics, they are cut and stitched onto the products to create a unique, handmade piece every time.
One of our key principles is the importance of making by hand and sustaining British skills and industry. Grace & Favour Home are passionate about sourcing materials from within the UK, so many of our items are made in our Devon workshop and when we need a little help, we use UK companies for printing and a small team of wonderful seamstresses, dotted around Devon.
Beyond Grace & Favour Home, Rachael is the author of two craft books; ‘Christmas Stockings’ and ‘Hanging Hearts’, published by Search Press in their ‘Love To Sew’ series. Available from our shop, both books contain step by step guides and techniques for beginners and more experienced sewers. She also regularly teaches craft workshops in Devon.
